Gartner Hype Cycle for Cloud Computing, 2012 - a Summary

According to Gartner Hype Cycle for Cloud Computing, 2012 both large corporations and small businesses are adopting cloud computing  based solutions because cloud computing reduces cost of administration of software and cuts short the long installation, deployment and customization cycle.
In Gartner's survey, 3/4th of the respondents said that they have plans to implement On Premise and Private Clouds. Gartner attributes this to the cost savings seen by the organizations by implementing server, storage and desk top virtualization.
Gartner also estimates that the market for Cloud business performance management services will grow 25% in 2012.  The Report brings out that 40% of organizations which have implemented any kind of business performance management solution have done so using a cloud based solution.
Gartner projects that 50% of organizations will have a strategy for implementing Software-as-a-Service by 2015. This will be primarily driven by their desire to reduce their capital expenses.
